Architects and developers should keep these best practices in mind when building document-driven Web services on the J2EE platform.

Java Pro Live! Boston, October 18, 2004

Watch the video of the session! (59:45)

J2EE 1.4 has evolved to integrate Web services, one of the many service delivery channels of the J2EE platform. Sameer Tyagi's Java Pro Live! session examined some of the different enabling APIs and specifications supporting Web services in J2EE 1.4 along with the programming model for Web services with the Java API for XML-based RPC (JAX-RPC). Tyagi also discussed different architectural choices and associated tradeoffs, and various alternatives and best practices that architects and developers should keep in mind when building document-driven Web services on the J2EE platform.
