Visual Studio Magazine 2003 Readers Choice Awards Announced Check out the winners in 23 software development categories.

VSLive! San Francisco, February 13, 2003 Visual Studio Magazine presented its annual Readers Choice Awards Monday during FTP's VSLive! 2003 San Francisco conference. These awards, chosen by Visual Studio Magazine's readers, honor excellent software in 23 development categories, in addition to special Editors Choice awards given to new products deserving particular attention. Visual Studio Magazine editor in chief Patrick Meader said, "The biggest honor in these awards is simply that these are the products our readers say are the best. What better way to show the value in today's quality components and development tools?" Readers Choice Awards are given to products that received the most readers' votes; Readers Choice Merit Awards, to products receiving a high number of votes that also show real value to Visual Studio Magazine readers. Editors Choice Awards are given to products that show special merit or innovation but don't fit comfortably into the standard categories. Here we list the category, the winning product, and the company. Click here to see photos of the winners. Editor's Choice AwardVMware Workstation (VMware, Inc.)
