Mercury's first products were enterprise-testing solutions to ensure
applications' readiness prior to deployment. It then offered application
management solutions for continuously managing the availability and performance
of critical business processes. Then tuning solutions were added for optimizing
system performance during application deployment. With the acquisition of
Kintana in 2003, Mercury added IT Governance best-practices applications to
