IBM Tivoli provides performance and service-level monitoring, a
centralized data warehouse for storing and analyzing performance, event, and
other management data, as well as decision-support programs for trending and
service-level predictions based on stored measurements. IBM has also developed
product extensions for managing Web components and end-user perspective
performance monitoring.
There are two major Tivoli product families: Tivoli Performance and
Availability and Tivoli Configuration and Operations.
IBM's best known Tivoli management product is Tivoli Event
Management, which combines event monitoring, alerting, and reporting with
event correlation and automated action-taking with the display of resource
status shown on the Tivoli Event Console (TEC) facility. |
