Computer Associates' products are organized into six brands:
BrightStor for storage management, eTrust for security
management, AllFusion for application lifecycle management,
Advantage for data management and application development,
CleverPath for portal and business intelligence, and Unicenter
for enterprise management. Unicenter provides enterprise management products
that include delivering, installing, configuring, and registering programs with
integrated software delivery, remote control, asset management, backup,
security, scheduling, and performance management. The company acquired Platinum
in 1999, which produced the ProVision application management suite; CA has
since re-released it under the name ManageIT. In 2003, CA introduced Web
portals as a standard product component to address the increasingly widespread
IT desire for Web-based access to system and performance management functions,
including Web displays of performance status indicators. |
