Nonprofit association of organizations promotes cross-platform best practices and helps the OMB draft enterprise architecture reference models

It's one thing to mandate that all U.S. federal agencies will conform to a standard enterprise architecture (see "Enterprise Architecture by Legislation"). But it's quite another thing for government information resource managers to implement the mandate. The Interoperability Clearinghouse (ICH), a nonprofit association of computer industry companies and organizations that promotes cross-platform best practices, is helping the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to draft a series of enterprise architecture reference models that will serve as a target for agencies to work toward. Current drafts of the five reference models for business, performance, data and information, service components, and technology are available for review and comment at the ICH Architecture Resource Center site.
