Testing Dell's X64 Power
The testing system provided by Dell practically screamed during tests. Dell's 2800 series of servers provide support for X64 through the Intel Xeon processor. Test applications included the new 64-bit version of Microsoft Virtual Server. There was a marked improvement in operation of multiple virtual machines; even 64-bit virtual machines on this system compared to a similar, but 32-bit Dell server. Overall, the performance and projected cost of this server provide real value to early adopters of the X64 OS. Here are our Dell Test Server specifications.
